Area Representative for Southern Africa	QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Education: Advanced university degree in telecommunication engineering, information and communication technology, social sciences, public/business administration, or a related field, with some specialization in telecommunication and information systems OR education from a reputed college of advanced education with a diploma of equivalent standard to that of an advanced university degree in one of fields above. For internal candidates, a first university degree in one of the fields above in combination with fifteen years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree for promotion or rotation purposes. Experience: At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in the above fields, preferably acquired in a telecommunication/ICT Administration/organization, international/ regional organization, or recognized private sector organization, including at least five years at the international level. A Doctorate in a related field can be considered as a substitute for three years of working experience. Demonstrated experience in gender mainstreaming and managing a culturally diverse team is an asset.
Area Representative: Specialists in knowledge management	REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Advanced university degree in telecommunications engineering, information and communication technologies, social sciences, public administration/business administration, or related field, with specialization in telecommunications and information systems OR training received in a higher education establishment of established reputation, attested by a diploma of a level equivalent to a higher university diploma in one of the aforementioned fields. For internal candidates, an undergraduate degree in one of the above fields, combined with fifteen years of relevant professional experience, may replace the higher degree for promotion or rotation purposes. Experience: At least ten years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in the above-mentioned areas, preferably acquired in an administration/organization in the telecommunications/ICT field, in an international or regional organization or in a recognized entity in the private sector, of which at least least five years at the international level. A doctorate in a related field may be considered equivalent to three years of professional experience. Proven experience in integrating the principle of gender equality and managing a team whose members come from diﬀerent cultures is an asset.
